Life at university are very enjoyable. As a student, we are involved in many student activities which gives us a lot of memorable experiences. Besides that, staying in an hostel with friends are also a different and wonderful experience. Assignments and tests are a bit stressful, but, still it is very important for us to evaluate ourself. Furthermore, spending money at university needs a lot of care. It is important for us to save on our money as we are depending on PTPTN and our parents money. Studying in a large number of people in a lecture hall are also very different when compared with our school days.

Let share the information about tourism income.
Today our country income also influence by tourism factor. So how can we attract the world come to Malaysia? One of the ways is latern festival. The Lantern Festival to be made an annual event to boost tourism. The idea that created by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the 1Malaysia Lantern Festival will be made an annual event and promoted as one of the country’s tourism products. The festival was organized by the Tourism Ministry with the co-operation of Kuala Lumpur City Hall and 100 non-governmental organizations. Our Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said the allocation announced by Najib would be made available by Tourism Malaysia to promote the Lantern Festival event in Kuala Lumpur for the next four years.
“We managed to attract more than 30,000 tourists to this year’s event and we hope that 100,000 tourists will be visiting our country each year specially for this event. The Lantern festival is a great event as it has the participatory factor which the tourists enjoy and will pull the crowd in,” she said.

Hi miss..

Now i would like to share something with you about meanings of university.

Institution of higher education, usually comprising a liberal arts and sciences college and graduate and professional schools that confer degrees in various fields. A university differs from a college in that it is usually larger, has a broader curriculum, and offers advanced degrees in addition to undergraduate degrees.
Thats all from me...
Thank you.

Most people aim higher to further their study at university. For me, university is a place where all sorts of people from different races, languages and states mixed with each other. Our university also has international students from China, Yemen and other country also. Besides that, life in university can be described as hectic where students have lots of assignments to do and this sometimes can make us feel a little stress out. There are a lot of quizzes and tests that is held to test the skills and understanding of the course subject. However, living and studying at university can make us more independent, able to manage our time wisely and good in making decisions. In other words, studying in the university is not easy although there are a lot of experience and sweet memories to be shared among lecturers and friends.

To enter university is a dream for student to further their study. So, we as student study very hard and finally enter UMP. We learn to be an independent people and learn to communicate with others, especially with other races.

Staying in an hostel with friends and involving in many activities gives us a lot of wonderful experience. Lecturer in university are all profesional and taught us a lot of knowledge.

Chemical engineering is really a tough course to study. University life is also full of challenge.

now i want share..."What the University Means to Me" seems insistently to change to "How the University Became a Living Thing to Me," and in telling this perhaps I am telling its meaning too.

As a young girl the University appeared simply a higher school, teaching people to become doctors, lawyers, chemical engineers as my course, programmer, and so on..
As my youthful ambition was to be a teacher , I could see no connection between that cold place of lectures, books, and exams and myself. Much has happened since then, and the story is one of contacts with people. People whose labour in life is to improve the lot of others by broadening their outlook, teaching better ways of doing the ordinary task, and finding new ways.

now... i know my way.. i want to be a successful chemical engginer..
insyaallah.... ^^

i want to tell you about history of our university.. UMP...
It was established as a public technical university by the Malaysian government on 16 February 2002. Incorporated under the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 by the Royal Decree of His Majesty the Yang DiPertuan Agong, Kolej Universiti Kejuruteran & Teknologi Malaysia (KUKTEM) was set up as a competency-based technical university, specializing in engineering and technology. The University College of Engineering & Technology Malaysia currently operates on a temporary campus in Gambang, Pahang. The temporary campus was formerly an industrial complex owned by MEC. The university's permanent campus is located in Pekan, which is currently still under construction..

hello everyone!!

Do you know how UMP get it's name..
Hmmm.. don't know ahh??
it's okay...
check it out..

On 8 October, 2006, the Malaysian government has agreed to rename KUKTEM to Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The change of name is because the words 'university college' (Kolej Universiti) tend to give impression to the public that KUKTEM is a "lower standard" institution of higher education compared to other universities such as Universiti Malaya. Many employers also tend to think that KUKTEM graduates are not competent enough as they graduated from a university college and not a full university. Therefore, the change of name is finally granted by the Malaysian government for the sake of the graduates and also to correct the wrong mindset of the public towards the university colleges in Malaysia.

hope you satisfied with my explaination...

thank you....
LOVE UMP!!!!!

I just read an article about modulator-demodulator (Modem). Modem is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information. Then, it will demodulates a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information. Usually, modems are classified by the total of data (bits) they can send in a second. Nowadays, internet users are using the faster modems which are very high data rates. There are many types of modems, such as cable modems, ADSL modems, wireless data modem, radio modems, and so on. More information I can find from this article. Without reading this article, I would not realize that modems are important in our life, especially in telecommunication.
The language used is simple but got some scientific words are hard to understand, like PTSN. Sentences were written in present tense and always write in active form. Many examples are given in explanation.

An article that I read is about camera. Mosaic photo sensor exists since 1961, filmless camera in 1972, and first digital camera in 1975.Compact digital camera is small and portable. It also called point-and-shoot camera. It less than 20mm thick, described as subcompacts .It also easy to use, image can usually only be stored using lossy compression (JPEG).It has zoom capability, but the range is usually less than bridge and digital single-lens reflex cameras (DSLR).

Article that I read is quite long. It has a lot of vocabulary that I do not understand like portable, leaf shutter. Besides that, it has many parts like type of camera, and history.

NURUL SUHADA said...

How about the article about the handphone?Something that we always use for different situation.Cordless telephone linked to a cellular radio network. Early cellular networks used analogue technology, but since the late 1990s most services use a digital system. Calls are linked to the public telephone system via a network of connected base stations and exchanges; the area covered by each base station is called a cell. Each cell is about 5 km/3 mi across, and has a separate low-power transmitter. Mobility is possible as calls can be made while moving from one radio cell to another. In Europe, GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) has been adopted by many countries as a digital standard, enabling travellers to use a single phone across different national networks. Tri-band mobile phones are capable of changing frequencies to allow local networks in the USA to be accessed.Today people need it to do many thing.

I don't want to comment to much about the language because the article is very goog and challenge me to buy a new handphone.

language for this article is really good because i can understand clearly.Do not use a weird word to understand.

Lets see if this can help your understanding about university.. The original Latin word "universitas" was used at the time of emergence of urban town life and medieval guilds, to describe specialized associations of students and teachers with collective legal rights usually guaranteed by charters issued by princes, prelates, or the towns in which they were located. Although the original Latin word referred to places of learning in Europe, where this form of legal organization was prevalent, it is sometimes extended to other educational institutions of non-Western antiquity, including China, India and Persia

I would like to share with all of you about my perception of university. University is a place of higher institution. It is the place for undergraduate and postgradute studies. A university has a lot of students as there are a lot faculties there. There will be a lot facilities in the university provided for the students. There are faciliities such as ATM machine, a big library, 24 hours discussion room, wireless in campus and many more. The environment is different from what we had experienced during our school life.

Life at university is totally different. It teaches us a lot of things. First of all, it teaches us to be independent. It is because we will be doing all of our work on our own. We would not be depending on our parents any more. Besides that, it also teaches us the value of friendship. University will be the place where we will find true friendship as we will be with our friends all of the time. Furthermore, it also inculcate a lot of good values in the students. Assignments which has to be passed up on time teaches us to be punctual in our work. As far as i know, being in a university as a part of it in the name of student has a lot of benefits and advantages.

UMP is the only univesity that focus on engineering. there is no medic or education faculty in UMP!i feel so special after that.i hope that i can study comfortably here...i love UMP!!!!

Today I would like to share another way to remove USB pendrive safely if there is unable to remove by normal way. There are the following steps you should do.
1. Right click My Computer and select Properties (or you can simultaneously press Win+Pause/Break key). In System Properties window, go to the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button. In Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can just click the Device Manager link located at the left hand sidebar when you are at the System Properties window.
2. Click View from the menu bar and select “Devices by Connection“.
3. Find the parent USB Root Hub of the USB device that has a yellow color exclamation mark. Right click on the USB Root Hub and select Disable. Again right click on the same USB Root Hub that you’ve just disabled and this time select Enable.
Voila! The drive letter has been returned back to My Computer and the autorun or auto play window will appear if it is enabled. Since this can be done in Windows itself, Microsoft Windows development team should consider adding a feature to easily re-enable the drive after ejecting without unplugging and reinserting. This tip has been verified to work on Windows XP, Windows Vista and even the latest Windows 7. No doubt that unplugs and reinserts it way faster than this method IF the USB port is easily accessible. If not, this method would save you from bending your back and trying to reach the back of the case.

Today what I want to share is an article published on BBC news website which mentioned that soya could be medicine for breast cancer. This formula was last time being experimented but no one have success to produce it, but nowadays Dr Karen James, from the University of Portsmouth, is investigating a ways of using natural hormone, isoflavones, from soya to develop a new medicine that can use to treat the most high rate cancer for women . He also found that Far Eastern women, who ate a lot of soya products, had lower rates of cancer than western women. However, this natural isoflavones are rapidly metabolised in the body and are not effective to store it in human body for long period. So Scientists are now searching a way to make this plant hormones stay in the body longer, while still retaining their beneficial properties.

Now what I would like to share is about flu that I have read in BBC my medical notes. There is a temporary vaccine against flu and those most likely to benefit from it include those elderly people with damaged immune systems and those are very young. These people are at greater risk of serious complications that can be fatal. For the majority of people with flu it can be treated with bed rest and over-the-counter drugs. But the most difficult symptoms to treat are aches and pains, high fever and a lingering cough. There are several way to treat a flu, for example
• Take paracetamol to treat the high fever and aches and pains
• Take a linctus to treat the cough or drink lots of hot, sweet fruit drinks
• Because the fever causes sweating and dries out the body, patients should increase the amount of juices, water and hot drinks
• Smoking aggravates the flu so patients should steer clear of smoky atmospheres
When you having flu, Antibiotics are not effective against flu viruses, but aspirins can be taken because the flu viruses have million types but Antibiotics is just specific for one kind of virus. So when you are in flu do take a lot of rest to keep your immune system well against the flu virus.

Although mechanical examples of computers have existed through much of recorded human history, the first electronic computers were developed in the mid-20th century (1940–1945). The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile, distinguishing them from calculators. I will tell YOU all the universities around the world. The funding and organization of universities varies widely between different countries around the world. In some countries universities are predominantly funded by the state, while in others funding may come from donors or from fees which students attending the university must pay. In some countries the vast majority of students attend university in their local town, while in other countries universities attract students from all over the world, and may provide university accommodation for their students.

Classification of the university is
the definition of a university varies widely even with some countries. For example, there is no nationally standardized definition of the term in the United States although the term has traditionally been used to designate research institutions and was once reserved for research doctorate-granting institutions. Many teaching institutions and primarily undergraduate-degree-granting institutions outside the Northeastern United States are called universities, while some states, such as Massachusetts, will only grant a school "university status" if it grants at least two doctoral degrees. In the United Kingdom, an institution can only use the term if it has been granted by the Privy Council, under the terms of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992.
